Take your own pictures of the car! We were sent pictures of the cars condition but (foolishly) did not take pictures of the car’s condition ourselves, and there was no one to go over the car with us in the garage. When we returned the car in Marsielle, they charged us for a tiny nick in the side mirror that we didn’t cause, but we can’t prove because the pics they sent were too low-res to catch it. Overall the whole experience felt very scammy - we won’t be using Hertz again.

I had the best experience here, particularly with Vanessa. She was very efficient and spoke perfect English, and even helped me when I had a problem with my credit card for the deposit. A few days later she contacted me when I forgot to return the car and was so responsive and accommodating. And when I returned the car, they contacted me instantly to tell me that they found a few of my personal items and would hold on to them for me until I could pick them up. I can't recommend them enough! :)

Rented the car at Hertz Antibes and returned in Marseilles. Vanessa was fantastic - very kind and helpful. She also remembered me when I called during my rental to ask a question. Easily picked up the car from the nearby garage and was on my way.

We rent with Hertz in French Alps, and return the car in Antibes. There is no reserved parking for Hertz in the open air. We simply parked in a paid car park near the Pier, but the reception told us thats not the parking that we should do, and she gave us a paper to tell us to park at Q Park Saint Jean at level -4.
