Lutam - Nice proche Aéroport

We rented a car from Lutam in Nice on April 10th. At pickup, we were told the fuel tank was full. Trusting this information, we did not check the gauge immediately. However, later that evening we noticed the tank was already significantly depleted. We documented the actual fuel level the next day and contacted the office to report the issue. The manager who handed over the car admitted the mistake, explained it might have been a Fiat system issue, and confirmed in writing via email that we would be reimbursed for the fuel cost. We provided all requested documentation, including photos and the fuel receipt. Since then, we have sent multiple emails to both the Nice office and the central company address – none of them have been answered, and the refund has still not been issued. Very disappointing customer service. A company that ignores written commitments and customer messages for months is, unfortunately, not trustworthy.

The lady at the desk was very impatient with us and told us to control our kids (as my wife was clearly trying to) who are 1 and 3. They were getting bored and hungry and had the inevitable tantrum because there was only one person at the desk who took at least 30 minutes per customer to deal with. The hotel lobby had no air con so we were all tired and grumpy and hot. The walk from the airport to Lutam is around 1km across roads and slopes which was hot and gruelling and unexpected and difficult with all the luggage. The return check in was smooth enough, the lady was nice and accommodating. The car was good 👍

We received a car with a puncture. We took a photo immediately and send it to Lutam. After 2 days of discussion they told us to drive to a mechanic 1 hour one way and 25 kilometers. They told us (even we got many proves of videos and photos) that it was our failure as they „checked“ the car before. But for the puncture you had to drive the car for round 2 minutes. And they have not as it has been told by the manager. We had 3 hours of driving and waiting, payed the kilometers we drove and had extra stress during our vacation. If it would be possible i would like to give 0 stars. Think wisely if you want that stress during vacation. Extrapoint: the parkingspot is extremely small and hard to drive.

Incredible poor service. Smaller car than ordered. Ordered a 5008. Espace has 35% less cargo volume. Asked for them to take large metal divided as we wanted to use back seats for our kids. They refused. I charged extra and asked why and have not heard back. Car needed a vacuum for sand. Nothing extra ordinary. Pictures provided. STAY AWAY

I have rented cars with Lutam for many years, always been happy with them. This trip to Nice they have changed. They charged me 72 euro for leaving the car before they open, my booking ended before they opened 😂 They also charged me 60 euro for saying the car was to dirty, the car had been driven 2 weeks in summertime. A shame that they dont value their customers more.

The worst place ever. Never rent a car here. They charge you for insurance, and even after paying it, they block over one thousand euros on your credit card. The receptionist is very rude and does not speak English. The office is located outside the airport with no clear explanation provided.
